Instructor of Quantitative Reasoning Seminar
The Quantitative Program at ÒÁÈËÖ±²¥ invites applications for a part-time faculty member to teach Quantitative Reasoning Seminar starting on September 2, 2025.
We welcome applicants with experience teaching college-preparatory mathematics in either a high school and/or college setting. Topics that are covered in the Quantitative Reasoning Seminar include basic math and very basic algebra; interpreting graphs and charts; basic statistics (distributions, probability); and logical inference. Use of current events / data sets and creative teaching are encouraged. Class size is small to allow individual attention to students. Undergraduate teaching assistants and peer mentors at the Quantitative Center may provide additional support. A master’s degree is required; a Ph. D is preferred.
Submit a cover letter, a resume/curriculum vitae, a brief (one to two paragraph) statement of teaching philosophy, and provide the names and contact information of three relevant professional references to the Quantitative Center Search Committee via Interfolio. Student evaluations of teaching / course evaluations are welcomed.
